§ 2-3. Agreement on E911 service.

(a)

The Joint Agreement on E911 Service between Smyth County and Tazewell County, Virginia, dated as of May 14, 1996, by and between Smyth County, Virginia, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Tazewell County, Virginia, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby approved for execution by and on behalf of the Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia.

(b)

The county administrator for Tazewell County, Virginia is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute, on behalf of the Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia, said agreement.

(c)

This section shall be effective as of June 1, 1996.

(d)

This section is adopted pursuant to the authority of Section 15.1-21 Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended.

(e)

This section repeals any ordinance of Tazewell County which is in conflict with the provisions hereof but only to the extent that such ordinance is in conflict herewith.
